Photo of the Week – 10/18

This week’s photo of the week is a picture of one of my good friend’s nephew.  This was shot during on his wedding day in Bodega Bay.  It was a shot that would have made it seem like it was posed, but it was completely candid.

What I like about this particular photo is how the light hits the little guy at an angle, but it’s not hitting his eyes, so it gives it a nice contrast and still allows him to smile naturally, without squinting.

In any case… enjoy the photo!

Photo of the Week – 10/10

This week’s photo of the week is from a fundraising event that was held back in May of 2009, called ‘One Step’.  It was an event where local, Bay Area, dance crews and performers who wish to show of their talents for charity came to perform.  I had the privilege of being the main event photographer and went behind the scenes to capture each of the crews as they were getting ready and when they performed.

Hope you enjoy the picture.  The album will be coming soon so you can check out the action that happened during ‘One Step’.

Photo of the Week – 9/28

This week’s “picture of the week” is another candid shot while I was in Europe.  This was while I was in Prague on King Charles IV bridge.  As I was exploring the bridge and taking pictures of what I thought was picturesque, I saw a newly wed couple walking around.  I couldn’t help get snap a shot of them.  This would probably be one of the few, if not the only time I’d see a newly wed couple in Europe.

I would love the opportunity to photography a wedding in Europe if I ever get the chance, but for now, I’ll have to settle with this.  Hope you enjoy!

Photo of the Week – 9/21

This is the first photo that I’m putting up to start off “photo of the week” showing some pictures that I’ve taken in the past, but never posted before.

This picture is of my father while we were Europe.  More specially, this was when we just hit Prague.  We had just finished visiting a cave called Morvasky Kras and then headed to Prague.  I don’t think my dad knew I took this picture, but I when I saw my dad sitting on the bench there, I couldn’t resist taking this picture.

Hope you enjoy!

Europe Day8 – Bamberg/Frankfurt

Bamberg was the last stop on this 7 day tour of Europe starting from Vienna, heading east to Budapest, Bratislava, Brno and then rounding back through Prague and ending in Frankfurt.  Bamberg was a short stop, stayed there for about 1.5 hrs and then headed back on the road to Frankfurt.

There wasn’t a whole lot to see in Bamberg, but captured just enough to get the feel of the area.  Bamberg is a representative example of an early medieval town in central Europe, both in its plan and its many well-preserved buildings.  The architecture of Bamberg influenced northern Germany and Hungary and at one point was the center of the Enlightenment in Southern Germany.

After leaving Bamberg and another 3 hour bus drive, we arrived in Franfurt.  At this point, it was close to dinner, so we only had a walking tour of a small area of Frankfurt through a plaza that showed off the various architectural buildlings of the local area and it’s city hall.   The local area is full of vibrantly colored buildings each one next to each other.  This marked the end of my European trip, time to head home…
